Bayley will not be wrestling at WWE WrestleMania 41 and there is an update about why that is the case.
Bayley was scheduled to challenge for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships with Lyra Valkyria on night two of WWE WrestleMania 41. On the night one pre-show, however, Bayley was revealed to have been attacked backstage and Raw General Manager Adam Pearce announced that Bayley would no longer be able to wrestle at Mania and Lyra Valkyria had 24 hours to find a new partner.
PWInsider has reported that Bayley is not dealing with a legitimate injury and her removal from WrestleMania is simply a storyline. The angle to write her out of WrestleMania has been the plan for several weeks.
There was reportedly sympathy among talents for Bayley this weekend when word spread that she was being pulled from WrestleMania. This is due to Bayley being universally respected in the locker room.
There is no official word on who Lyra Valkyria’s new tag team partner will be but reports have suggested there will be a major return at WrestleMania, so this could play into the WWE Women’s Tag Team Title match
