LeBron James delivered 16 points, seven rebounds and four assists in a 107-97 win over the Houston Rockets on Saturday night. But with the NBA In-Season Tournament quarterfinals starting Tuesday versus the Suns, James says he’s got another game on his mind.
“I’m not even looking forward to Tuesday, I’m looking forward to tomorrow and watching a bunch of football,” James said.
He said he’ll be attending the Browns vs. Rams game in Los Angeles today.
“My Browns are in town and I’ll be there. That’s what I’m looking forward to,” James said.
If you’ve followed James, you know he was a supporter of the Dallas Cowboys growing up in Akron, but that’s changed.
During an Instagram Live session with longtime friend Maverick Carter in October, James recounted his disagreement with Dallas’ stance on players kneeling during the national anthem.
“Guys were having freedom of speech and wanting to do it in a very peaceful manner,” James said. “The organization was like, ‘If you do that around here then you will never play for this franchise again.’ I just didn’t think that was appropriate.”
He then switched his allegiance to the Browns, and has kept consistent and shown support on social media posts.
The Browns will try to bounce back from last week’s loss to Denver and start December on a strong note, and The King says he’ll be there to see it.
