TRANMERE Rovers have signed Senegalese international Ousmane Kane to a six-month contract with a 12-month option.
The midfielder, who joins Rovers from AS Douanes in Senegal, has already arrived in Wirral and is working with his new teammates.
Rovers has successfully acquired a Governing Body Endorsement from The Football Association, and the Home Office has cleared him for an International Sportsperson visa, allowing him to live and work in the UK.
The 22-year-old, who has eight caps for his country, previously trialled with Tranmere in September and October 2023.
Manager Nigel Adkins stated, “Ousmane is a player who has been identified as having a lot of potential.”
“It’s obviously a major transfer for him to come from Dakar to Wirral, so we’re not going to put pressure on him to succeed right away, but we believe that with the correct coaching and growth, this is an opportunity for him to advance his career.
“Before evaluating our options in the summer, the Club and Ousmane can use the six-month contract to see how the rest of the season plays out and how he adjusts to English football.”
