Swindon Town forward Jake Young has been nominated for the Sky Bet League Two Player of the Month Award for November.
Another impressive month for Young who scored six goals, including a match-winning brace in Town’s 2-1 home victory over Mansfield will be looking to pick up his second award of the 2023/24 season.
The winner will be announced at 6am this coming Friday (8 December).
The 22-year-old will come up against the following players in the hope of receiving the latest monthly award of the 2023/24 season:
Ali Al-Hamadi (AFC Wimbledon) – striker
The compelling directness of the Iraq international makes him difficult to stop. With his tricky footwork, driving intent and willingness to shoot at every turn, he scored four goals in three games, with braces against Doncaster and Notts County.
Rob Apter (Tranmere Rovers) – winger
A former Tranmere academy product back on loan from Blackpool, Apter has blossomed under Nigel Adkins. Playing on the right but jinking inside to shoot at every opportunity, he scored four goals in four games to inspire Tranmere’s revival.
George Ray (Barrow) – central defender
Dominant in the air and an immovable rock at the heart of a Barrow defence which conceded just two goals in four games, Ray ventured forward to cause havoc from set pieces in November, contributing three goals and an assist.
