As a harsh penalty for Everton’s noncompliance with Financial Fair Play regulations, the Premier League has recommended a 12-point reduction.
The Toffees reported losses of £371.8 million over a three-year period, whereas the competition’s cap is £105 million. This led to the Premier League charging the team in March for violating FFP standards.

f the independent commission finds Everton guilty, the Premier League is requesting that the club lose points.
With seven points from nine games this season, Everton is now 16th in the Premier League.
Everton finished the previous season in 17th place and almost missed relegation by two points.
“The club strongly contests the allegation of non-compliance and together with its independent team of experts is entirely confident that it remains compliant with all financial rules and regulations,” the Everton statement said in response to the Premier League’s initial charges against the squad.
“Everton is ready to give the commission a forceful defense of its stance.”
“The club has deliberately chosen to act with the highest good faith at all times and has, over a number of years, provided information to the Premier League in an open and transparent manner.”
Everton has been accused of violating Rule W.82.1 by the Premier League, the same rule that Manchester City is also believed to have broken.
