For the second time in recent weeks, Wolves came from behind to win at the weekend, and on a third occasion this season, they won the points late in the day as Pablo Sarabia and Mario Lemina sank Spurs. The win tasted particularly sweet as the Premier League takes a break for the international period, meaning Wolves were signing off on a positive note.
On the late win
“I enjoyed it a lot. I felt that we played a good game; we played against a strong side, but we stuck together. We had been losing since the beginning of the game, but we carried on and kept working.
“It was really nice to win this game, especially at home and before the break. It’s important to have a good time now, the ones who are going to stay and the ones going with the national team.”
On the character to come back
“It shows the team we are; we never quit, so winning in the last minute was really nice. It shows our character and the type of team we are. Everybody trusted everybody, believing in the work and sticking to the plan, and in the end, we won the game.”
On winning before the internationals
“It’s important to finish the week with a win, especially before the break; everybody goes and enjoys it, and we come back for more important games, and we hope to win them as well.”
