Sam Lammers was signed by Michael Beale with the hope that he could bring more goals and assists than Ryan Lent did for Rangers.
It’s safe to say that the reported £3m signing hasn’t quite gone to plan with the 26-year old’s form following him from Serie A to Ibrox and the Scottish Premiership.
The problem is that Sam Lammers keeps getting into the right position to be a match winner for Rangers but, instead, seems intent to only put more pressure on himself.

According to Footy Stats, there is an objective contradiction for what both Philippe Clement as the new Gers boss and fans can see with their own eyes.
In terms of big chances, the tally now stands at five that the Dutch forward has missed.
Hardly the sort of form that would have earned him the comparisons to Ruud van Nistelrooy as a youngster at PSV Eindhoven or that earned him a £7.7m move to Atalanta.
There is another side to Sam Lammers though but it is irrelevantly if he can’t get out the current slump that sees him held responsible by some for Rangers dropping points against Celtic and Aberdeen in particular.
As per Footy Stats, compared to other Scottish Premiership forwards, he is one of the best across almost every metric.
Shots taken, shots on target, non-penalty expected goals per 90 minutes, goal involvement, assists, expected assists, pass completion, dribbles and dribble success per 90 – all needed to be an effective forward.
Is it a matter of patience or, is this him?
He’s either going to be the type of player who looks like they are about to hit a run of form or, be the type of player that consistently lets his team down at the big moments.
I don’t think Sam Lammers is a bad player but, until he starts scoring goals and winning games for Rangers, fans won’t care how well he performs when the numbers are crunched.
