Sheffield Wednesday, Huddersfield Town and Blackpool are keen on Cardiff City midfielder Andy Rinomhota, according to Football Insider.
Cardiff City are expected to cut ties with him before the end of the transfer window this evening.
During the first half of this season, Rinomhota, 26, has made just seven appearances for Cardiff City Stadium as he has fallen down the hierarchy.
According to Football Insider’s most recent update on his circumstances in Wales, the player has plenty of options for where to go. Sheffield Wednesday, Huddersfield, and Blackpool are among the teams interested in signing him before the deadline. Goztepe, Amiens, and Valenciennes are also mentioned as possible suitors overseas.
Although Huddersfield and Sheffield Wednesday are battling it out at the bottom of the Championship, they may be able to give Rinomhota a chance to stay in the lower division. The latter parted ways with Darren Moore and are now without a permanent manager. They must decide who to bring in next.
Under Neil Critchley’s direction, Blackpool wants to go up from League One, but they’ll have to defeat opponents from the higher division to achieve this goal.
Although Rinomhota still has one year left on his Cardiff deal, breaking ties with him now will allow them to add more players to their roster at a lower cost.
He moved from Reading to join them in 2022, but he hasn’t had much of an effect. Though he only had one cap, the Zimbabwean international was popular with the Royals and appeared in 139 games for the Berkshire team before leaving to take on a new challenge.
