Before the Milwaukee Bucks acquired Damian Lillard from the Portland Trail Blazers, Giannis Antetokounmpo was being courted by rival superstars, according to NBA insider Ramona Shelburne of ESPN.

Before the Lillard trade, Antetokounmpo’s future with the Bucks was uncertain, but he signed a three-year agreement with Milwaukee after Lillard was acquired.

We’re going to work it out, basketball. We’ll work it out every time we play together, according to Antetokounmpo. “But it’s also crucial that he feel at ease off the court, because I know that if you’re at ease as a family man, you’ll be able to do your job without any interruptions, just like me.”

One of the favorites to win the title this season is the Milwaukee Bucks. Antetokounmpo, Lillard, Khris Middleton, and Brook Lopez make up their Big 4.

With the Bucks, Antetokounmpo has averaged 22.6 points, 9.6 rebounds, and 4.7 assists over his career. The Most Improved Player of the Year Award, two MVPs for the regular season, one MVP for the Finals, and one Defensive Player of the Year Award have all been given to him.

In 63 games with the Bucks the previous season, Antetokounmpo averaged 31.1 points, 11.8 rebounds, 5.7 assists, 0.8 steals, and 0.8 blocks. Six triple-doubles and 46 double-doubles were scored by the future Hall of Famer.

Milwaukee defeated the Phoenix Suns in six games to win the 2021 championship. The following is Antetokounmpo’s statement regarding his signing of a multi-year agreement with the Bucks:

“Milwaukee is my home, where we raised our family, where I began my career, and where I will continue to put in a lot of effort every day to win over Bucks supporters.” I would like to thank Wes, Jamie, Jimmy, and Dee, the owners of the Milwaukee Bucks, for their unwavering support of my family and me. I would also like to thank Jon Horst for being a reliable partner who has been with me since the day I moved to Milwaukee ten years ago.

I will always be appreciative of my coaches and teammates for motivating me to give it my all each and every day. We are dedicated to working together to win and bring our city another championship. And let’s get it, Bucks fans!
