Andrus, who just celebrated his 36th birthday last week, will be joined by notable figures from his career during the announcement. Former teammate and Rangers Hall of Famer Michael Young, along with Los Angeles Angels manager Ron Washington—who managed Andrus during his first six seasons—are set to be present for this significant moment.
After being released by the Arizona Diamondbacks in March, Andrus did not sign with another team this season. The shortstop, who also played 63 games at second base for the Chicago White Sox in 2023, leaves behind a remarkable legacy. Over his 15-season career, he amassed a .269 batting average, with 102 home runs and 775 RBIs across 2,059 games. Andrus also showcased his speed on the base paths with 347 career steals.
