In a thrilling announcement, nib Newcastle Knights NRLW fullback Tamika Upton has been awarded the prestigious NRLW Player of the Year for the second consecutive season. Upton’s 2024 campaign was nothing short of spectacular, solidifying her place among the top talents in women’s rugby league. Her outstanding performances across all 10 games helped steer the Knights to yet another successful finals run, narrowly missing out on a spot in the Grand Final.
The Jillaroo and Queensland Origin representative put on an attacking masterclass throughout the season. She crossed the line for seven tries, provided 13 try assists, and averaged 125 running meters per game—testaments to her consistent ability to break the line and keep opposition defenses on edge.
