Northampton Town are working on a loan deal to sign Crystal Palace winger Roshaun Mathurin, the South London Press understands.
The 20-year-old has been a part of Oliver Glasner’s first-team squad for pre-season and featured on the bench twice under the Austrian manager last season in the Premier League.
Mathurin joined Palace following his release from Tottenham Hotspur last summer and impressed for Darren Powell’s U21 side last season.
The forward hit five goals and picked up six assists in the Premier League 2 season.
Palace have sent Owen Goodman, David Ozoh, Malcolm Ebiowei, Tayo Adaramola and Joe Whitworth all out on EFL loans before the start of the season.
Northampton finished 14th in League One last season.
