The Washington Commanders came into the 2023 NFL regular season with high hopes of being able to turn things around after finally getting out of the shadow of longtime owner Daniel Snyder and being able to move forward.
Although the Commanders had a formidable defense and an offense that showed some promise with young quarterback Sam Howell under center, Washington has really struggled to make an impact this season, with the team heading into Week 15 with a disappointing record of 4-9.
Ironically enough, the Commanders got off to a solid start to the 2023 campaign, with the team winning its first two games out of the gate against the Arizona Cardinals and Denver Broncos.
Unfortunately, the team has only won two games since starting strong, with victories over the Atlanta Falcons and New England Patriots.
Recently, Hall of Famer Eric Dickerson talked about the Commanders and how he dislikes the team name and has been disappointed by how badly they’ve fallen off as of late, according to JP Finlay of NBC4 Sports.

With new ownership in place with Josh Harris and proven winners like Los Angeles Lakers legend Magic Johnson in the ownership group, who has helped turn teams around like the Los Angeles Dodgers and Los Angeles Football Club as an owner, the Commanders could very well have a bright future.
The Commanders will almost certainly be one of the most active teams in the league during the NFL offseason in order to turn this storied franchise around sooner rather than later.
