The Milwaukee Bucks took care of business on Monday night against the Washington Wizards. They marked their fifth straight win via a 142-129 win over a Washington side that seemed intent on defending its home court.
The Bucks were having none of that, though, using a fourth-quarter takeover to close out another impressive victory.
Khris Middleton Vocal on Upcoming Milwaukee Bucks-Boston Celtics Showdown
Moments after the final buzzer, Khris Middleton spoke to courtside reporter Melanie B. Ricks to discuss the big win. The Bucks may have just completed taking down the Wizards, but at this point, they already have their eyes on their next game. This comes as no surprise considering how it’s the Boston Celtics who are up next on their slate.
Middleton admits that he’s looking forward to Wednesday’s bout against Boston, especially since it will be the first time he will get to face off against former teammate Jrue Holiday:
“It’s gonna be a big game against a really good team,” Middleton said. “Against our forimer teammate, Jrue. It’s gonna be a fun game. A hostile environment, of course, but it’ll be a great test to see where we are at this point in the season.”
In case you forgot, Holiday is now with the Celtics. This is after he was shipped off to Boston by the Portland Trail Blazers shortly after the Damian Lillard blockbuster trade. Needless to say, it’s going to be an emotional reunion for Holiday and his former Milwaukee teammates.
The Bucks, however, must not get caught up in the moment. They can’t forget about the fact that they will need to deal with Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown as well, among others, as they look to take down one of the heavy favorites to go all the way and win it all this season.
