After a rough start to the 2023-24 NBA season, the Chicago Bulls have turned things around and are playing solid basketball.
Despite a loss to the Golden State Warriors, the Bulls still sit in ninth in the Eastern Conference and remain a threat to make the Play-In Tournament.
Chicago was an early blow-it-up candidate given the veteran players on their team, but now they have a tough decision to make whether or not to be buyers or sellers at the trade deadline.
Zach LaVine has been the most common name brought up in trade discussions, but players like DeMar DeRozan and Alex Caruso have also been brought up.
However, the Chicago organization is dealing with another issue as their fans are coming under fire for booing former general manager Jerry Krause at his Ring of Honor ceremony, bringing his widow Thelma Krause to tears.
Joakim Noah made sure to call out the behavior and urge the fans to be better via his personal Twitter account.
“Bulls fans – let’s do better than this. These legends ALL deserve our respect for how many happy moments they created for all of us. Respect to the Krause family,” Noah tweeted.
Krause isn’t popular with the Bulls fanbase for how he handled the roster and his differences with Michael Jordan, but it was still unbecoming for fans to boo with Thelma in attendance.
Around the league, players and coaches were not happy with what happened, so going forward hopefully, fans act with a little more class the next time Krause’s family is around.
