Jake Maier will start at quarterback for the Calgary Stampeders against the Saskatchewan Roughriders on Saturday, with Matt Shiltz out due to a neck injury. Maier is aware of the possibility that this might be his last game with Calgary but is focused on the present. “I’m out there with these guys for one more game, and I’m super grateful for the opportunity,” he said.
Linebacker Cam Judge, nominated for outstanding defensive player and Canadian player of the year, hopes the team can end the season on a high note despite the challenges. He emphasized the importance of finding motivation and putting in the effort, saying, “This is our job at the end of the day.”
