Dundee are on the verge of securing the services of Ethan Ingram, an attacking full-back from West Bromwich Albion. The 21-year-old, who progressed through West Brom’s youth system, impressed during a loan spell at Salford City last season.
Although Ingram only made a handful of appearances for West Brom, his loan stint at Salford in League Two showcased his potential. He has also represented England at the Under-20, Under-17, and Under-18 levels, highlighting his pedigree.
Dundee is reportedly thrilled to have secured the signing of Ingram, who will bring balance and attacking threat as a right wing-back. His imminent arrival follows other summer signings by Dundee, including Clark Robertson, Jon McCracken, and Seb Palmer-Houlden. Additionally, the club is close to finalizing a deal for Ethan Bristow from Minnesota United, who featured recently as a trialist.
Ingram’s decision to join Dundee involved turning down offers from English League One clubs and a contract extension at West Brom, who narrowly missed promotion to the Premier League last season after finishing fifth in the Championship but falling short in the playoffs against Southampton.
Ingram is expected to join Dundee for their upcoming training camp in Poland, where he will integrate into the squad as they prepare for the upcoming season. His arrival bolsters Dundee’s defensive options and adds to their ambition for the campaign ahead.
