Dundee United are closing in on the double signing of Richard Odada and Jort van der Sande.
SportSynergy understands that United have agreed deals with both players and they are at St Andrews to finalise their moves, subject to work permits and international clearance. Kenyan international Odada will join on a permanent contract from Philadelphia Union. The 23-year-old, who has five caps, had a spell on loan at Danish side AaB. Odada came through the ranks at Leopards and has previously had a spell in Europe with Red Star Belgrade. He moved to Major League Soccer in 2022.
Van der Sande will boost Jim Goodwin’s attacking options at Tannadice. The 28-year-old is set to make the permanent move from ADO Den Haag, where he signed a three-year deal last summer. The frontman has also had spells at NAC Breda and FC Eindhoven. The Bonaire international is well-known to Dundee United head of recruitment Michael Cairney.
