Coventry City Loses Young Sensation as Manchester City Completes the Deal

Coventry City have lost young star Marlow Barrett with Manchester City swooping to complete a deal, as per Fabrizio Romano.

Coventry City have had some big success in the transfer market in recent years.

 

Sizeable sales of key men like Gustavo Hamer and Viktor Gyokeres have financed a rebuild of Mark Robins’ squad over the past year or so, turning them into promotion contenders after just missing out in the play-off final in 2022.

 

This summer has been another fruitful one with some eye-catching additions made. However, it looks as though the Sky Blues are set to lose an upcoming prospect in Marlow Barrett.

 

Writing on X, transfer guru Fabrizio Romano states that the Coventry City starlet has been the subject of a completed deal with Premier League giants Manchester City.

He’ll join the esteemed youth ranks in the north west, departing the Sky Blues to do so.

 

It was said earlier this summer that City were set to win the race for Barrett and it now looks as though the move has been sealed. It is not said which age group he will join, but Barrett will be looking to work his way through the fantastic setup at the Etihad Stadium.
