Celtic have had their offer for Dominik Livakovic accepted by Fenerbahce, according to a report.
The Scottish Premiership champions are said to be edging towards signing their long-term replacement for Joe Hart between the sticks.
Brendan Rodgers has made signing a new No.1 a top priority in the market this summer.
And if reports in Turkey are to be believed, then the Hoops are closing in on doing just that before June is out.
Livakovic is currently at Euro 2024 with Croatia, as he and his teammates will wait nervously to see if they’ve qualified for the last-16 of the competition or not.
It seems his future is tied up though, when he returns to club business, as media outlet Fotomac claims Celtic have had their bid accepted by Jose Mourinho’s new side.
It suggests the offer is worth £7.6m (or €9m). The report states that Mourinho has already lined up his replacement, with Mattia Perin of Juventus said to be on his way to the club.
Should these reports be true, then Celtic will conclude the first deal of the summer window.
Celtic will be looking to make it four domestic titles in a row next season, while also giving a better account of themselves in the Champions League.
