The Dallas Cowboys are one of the most popular — if not the most popular — teams in the entire nation.
That hasn’t always translated into success, and the fans are well aware of their woes.
That’s why, as excited as they might be ahead of Sunday’s divisional clash with the Philadelphia Eagles, Craig Carton believes they should also have some doubts about their team.
Carton stated that he doesn’t believe the team or the locker room doubts their ability to take down the Eagles, nor does he think Dak Prescott feels worried about the game.
However, he thinks those 80,000 fans in attendance could be biting their nails as they wonder when they’re going to mess things up.
In the latest edition of The Carton Show, Carton and David Jacoby explained that this is it for the Cowboys, as they still have the likes of the Buffalo Bills, Miami Dolphins, and Detroit Lions on the schedule.
A loss here could give the team a glimmer of doubt for the remainder of the season, and that could snowball.
Nonetheless, former NFL player Willie Colon believes there shouldn’t even be a glimmer of doubt about the Cowboys’ chances against the Eagles, pointing at Dak Prescott’s numbers vs. Philadelphia.
Prescott is 8-4 vs. the Eagles per his career, completing over 67% of his passes and averaging 260.9 passing yards per game.
He also has 22 touchdowns against eight interceptions and a passer rating of 100.7, so he’s fared quite well against them.
Then again, anything can happen in divisional games.
