The Los Angeles Lakers cannot seem to put together a long winning streak in the 2023-24 NBA season.
Every time the Lakers look like a sensational team, they end up playing at an underwhelming level in the very next game.
A perfect example of it was how the Lakers were blown out at the hands of the Philadelphia 76ers in their recent matchup.
The Lakers ended up losing by 44 points in a game where LeBron James struggled to play well.
Keeping that in mind, NBA analyst J.A. Adande shared a big concern about the Lakers this season, via Vincent Goodwill on Twitter.
“I think it’s alarming for the Lakers how LeBron dependent they are,” he said.
Adande pointed out that the Lakers are simply too dependent on how well James plays to win games.
While James has showcased his ability to carry the Lakers even at 38 years old, he will have a few off nights during the regular season as well.
But if James has an off night, it’s the responsibility of Anthony Davis and the rest of the players on the roster to pick up the slack and ensure that the Lakers play well.
Adande also mentioned that he gave up on the notion of Davis being capable of leading the Lakers as a primary superstar back in the Orlando Bubble.
The Lakers simply had no answer for the 76ers in the game on Monday and it needs to change if the organization is aiming to win its 18th NBA title this season.
