A man, aged 52, was apprehended during Birmingham City Football Club’s match against Hull City at St Andrews on the night of October 26. This arrest was made following the identification of a man wanted for questioning in connection with the alleged racial abuse of a Blues player during a prior match against Huddersfield on October 3. The 52-year-old individual was taken into custody shortly after the game’s kick-off on suspicion of a racially aggravated public order offense.
Furthermore, another 20-year-old man was arrested just after the match ended on suspicion of assaulting a steward. Both individuals are presently in custody for further questioning.
